Notification of Violations
Annual inspections were completed in late April 2026 and notices were mailed in early May 2026. Residents of Lakeport Cluster who received violation notices are reminded that they have 30 days to address the issue(s) specified in the notice. Those who are unable to address the issue(s) within this period are expected to notify the Board if additional time is needed to complete repairs. If you received a notice and have not notified SCS that you have dealt with the issue(s), or if you require additional time, please contact the Board at Board@lakeportcluster.org.
Updates to Lakeport Cluster Standards
There are two changes to the Lakeport Standards being addressed by the Board. The first one is to permit sliding doors on the front side of 1951, 1953, 1955, 1957, and 1959 Lakeport Way. Sliding doors were part of the original design for these five homes but are not addressed in our current door standard.
The second change is to allow for a color update to HardiePlank siding. Currently, the Standards specify HardiePlank, Select Cedar Mill, lap siding, with a 6” exposure, in Monterey Taupe (color). Due to market availability and stocking practices in Northern Virginia, HardiePlank now offers Select Cedar Mill, lap siding, with 6” exposure in California Taupe – which is exactly the same color as Monterey Taupe. This change clarifies that they are the same color and that either can be used.
