Change of Address for Assessment Checks Mailed to SCS (by You or Your Bank)

Select Community Services (SCS), Lakeport’s Management Company, recently posted the following notice because of a change in the address to which mailed quarterly assessment payments should be sent. Note that this applies only if you get quarterly coupons from SCS and send a check yourself via USPS or if you have made arrangements with your bank for them to mail your check via their Bill Pay service. This is not relevant to those who have set up direct debit with SCS (and therefore do not receive quarterly coupons).

Payment to the New Lockbox Processor

New SCS Lockbox Address:

Lakeport Cluster Association

c/o SCS

Columbia Bank

PO Box 1240

New York, NY 10008-1240

Mail Your Payments With Your Coupons

If you have been provided coupons to submit with your HOA assessment payments, please make sure you mail those coupons with your payments. This will ensure your payments get routed properly and there should be little to no delays.

Change Online Bill Pay Through Your Bank

If you previously had a bill-payer set up to go to the old lockbox address, you will need to delete that bill-payer setup and create a new bill-payer setup. Just updating the lockbox address on the current bill-payer setup will not work properly.

Your bank will mail a check to the lockbox processor for first-time submission of payments to confirm the lockbox’ legitimacy, which will most likely cause your payment to take a little bit longer to process and post on your HOA account. Future submissions should be much quicker.

Important Information to Include on Payments

1. Make sure payments are made payable to Lakeport Cluster Association, not SCS.

2. Include your HOA Account Number, making sure there are no leading zeroes or

dashes. For example, 00123-4567 should be noted on your payments as 1234567.

3. Include your HOA Unit Address.

Note: Please do not place a stop payment on any checks that you have submitted. If you place a stop payment on a check, the Association will charge a $50 returned check fee to your account.

[Editor’s Note: Of course, you can skip all of this hassle by switching to payment through Direct Debit (authorize via the SCS form at https://drive.google.com/file/d/1U_9xgrDVzZlOBoUG04XT2vlxmWa99C6q/view).]
