Peter Cottontail visits Lakeport for the Easter Egg Hunt

On Sunday April 24th Peter Cottontail, better known as the Easter Bunny, will make a special visit to Lakeport. Tradition says that the Easter Bunny hides colored eggs for the children to find. To give the Easter Bunny time to hide his eggs, we ask all children to meet at Triangle Park (near 1959 Lakeport Way) at 10:30AM.  We hope that all the children will be there for the Easter Egg Hunt and have a great time!

Who is invited? All children that live in our community and if you have grandchildren or visitors, they are also invited. We will start with the youngest first so everyone will get a chance to find the eggs left by the Easter Bunny.

Who’s the Easter Bunny? No one knows but the Easter Bunny was introduced to the United States by the German settlers who arrived in the Pennsylvania Dutch country during the 18th century. For the last two years, the Easter Bunny was introduced to Lakeport by James Pan. We aren’t sure he is a German settler but maybe he’s been to Pennsylvania Dutch country. Anyway, we thank him very much
