Standards Meeting

The Lakeport Cluster Association is forming the 2009‐2010 Standards Committee. If you are interested in volunteering your time to establish the next phase of standards updates and reviews, please join now. This committee will be responsible for reviewing, researching, writing, and finalizing approval through Reston Association’s (RA) Design Review Board (DRB).

We are pleased to announce that since there have been no content changes, the revised Awning and Garage Door Standards have been approved by RA. That’s only the beginning though. The following Standards need revision: Outdoor lighting, House numbers, Colors, Decks - Trex in front?, Storm doors, Siding, Windows, Roofing, and more!

Interested in serving on Reston's DRB?

There are three vacancies on the DRB. Two design professionals (architect, land planner, or landscape architect); and one Lay Member are needed to serve three-year terms. The DRB interprets, administers, and renders decisions involving the design covenants in accordance with the Design Guidelines.
