Special pick-up for Christmas Trees at Lakeport

American Disposal will pick-up Christmas Trees at Lakeport on Wednesday January 5 and 12. These are the only two times that trees will be picked up by American Disposal for recycling. The trees are required to be recycled in Fairfax County. This is the reason for these separate pick-up times. Please make sure that your tree is placed on the curb before 6AM on either January 5 or 12.

Recycle Your Live Christmas Tree

Christmas trees less than eight feet tall will be collected and recycled at no additional cost during the first two weeks in January. Removing decorations allows trees to be recycled by grinding them into mulch. When placing your tree at the curb, please remove tree stands, ornaments, tinsel, lights and tree toppers. For trees larger than eight feet tall, please contact American Disposal at 703-368-0500 for directions.

After the first two weeks in January, collection companies may charge an additional fee for Christmas tree removal. For more guidance, contact American Disposal at 703-368-0500.Trees collected after the first two weeks of January are not required to be recycled.
